Services Valve Assessment & Maintenance

Municipal Valve Assessment & Maintenance

Texas Municipal Valve Assessments

Maintaining an existing municipal water valve network can be strenuous and overwhelming without the right equipment and experience. We believe this doesn't have to be the case. With our Municipal Valve Assessment & Maintenance services, we've simplified the process, allowing municipalities to have confidence in their water infrastructure.

Our team is experienced in locating valves, giving us the full picture of your valve network. We will bring our hydraulic valve turner and hydro-excavation equipment to the area and go through each valve, closing and opening, to exercise them.

After all identified valves have been exercised and cleaned, we will put all the data into a report along with an updated valve map if requested. In the report, we will also provide recommendations to improve the operability of the water system such as key valves that are not functioning to their best ability. We will also show how the finding/cleaning process has improved the functionality of the system.

How Does the Valve Assessment Process Work?

Valve Assessment Process

1. Review any relevant documents to get a starting point for valve discovery.

2. Find and identify all valves in the system. Simultaneously assign each valve a project ID number. We'll also make note of any damage or blockages.

3. Clean and exercise all discovered valves. Our equipment will record data points for each valve including the number of turns, the torque required to turn, GPS coordinates, and more.

4. Compile our findings into a report and updated map. In the report we will also provide recommendations to improve the operability of the water system.
